Bank holiday weekend update

British Eventing are currently asking for nominations for Board members a three-year term starting at the end of the year.  We would like to bring this to your attention and consideration if any members would be interested in applying. As you know the sport is going through difficult times and the strength of the board is an asset to the sport to help us charter theses uncertain times.  Further information can be found on:  https://www.britisheventing.com/news/2020-director-nomination-notice

Updates from the events running this weekend – don’t forget everyone is running behind closed door with NO spectators. The rule is still the same: Arrive – Spectate – Depart. For those at home that would like to keep a track of proceedings, the scores can be found on: https://www.eventingscores.co.uk/

Northallerton:

The XC has been checked by the BE Officials this morning, one fence removed due to water other than that we are set to go! Here is the link to the course maps www.crosscountryapp.com/events/northallerton-2
Please remember your face coverings if coming to the takeaway café or the information point.

Shelford Manor:

THIS IS A CLOSED EVENT – we are running behind closed doors so PLEASE NO non-essential personnel onsite at anytime during the event. We are running in line with British Eventing Guidelines, which is one rider, one supporter and one owner per horse, and NO children (unless competing or within your “support team numbers”) Unfortunately, if you arrive with more than this you will be turned away at the gate and asked to go home and a NO refund will not be given. This is in place for all our safety and we appreciate your support with this. – Please ensure you have your own PPE to bring to the event – gloves, masks and hand sanitiser.

Wellington International:

Live streaming available to subscribers of Horse & Country TV (10% discount for EHOA members) follow the link here: https://handc.tv/britisheventing

Keysoe:

No specific news ahead of the weekend.

Then a special thanks to those members who sent feedback in our recent consultation about IT and BEAG. The comments received on IT issues have been forwarded to the newly-formed IT task force. We will await their feedback.

Finally, we can also attach the minutes to the stakeholders meeting that took place in June. They can be found here: https://www.britisheventing.com/MemberMeetings

Wishing you all a happy bank holiday weekend and the best of luck if you are out and about eventing.
