Today saw the start of the Bramham International with the inaugural BE80 Championships held in the park. For those members travelling up over the next few days as the international competition starts, the address you require is: Bramham Park, Wetherby, West Yorks LS23 6ND. However, on your final approach it is best to turn your sat nav off and follow the yellow AA signs otherwise you will end up on the wrong side of the park!
Once again, the EHOA will be hosting a hospitality marquee alongside the main arena. This is situated collecting ring end with access just by the entrance to the main arena. Do pop in where Alex & Kimberly Mawdesley will welcome you for the duration of the week. Newspapers, tea/coffee, snacks and strawberries all available along with CCTV action of the cross country. I’m sure they would be delighted to have some offers of help so that they can also enjoy the event. Please be generous with your time.
Just a heads up that many of the EHOA discount providers do have trade stands on site during the week so do pop in and take advantage of being a member! New to the discount team this week is Shaws Iberian. They are offering all members a 10% discount on their stand of delicious cheeses, charcuterie and wine for the duration of the week. Swing by and see Monty – I am sure he will have something to tempt you!
Congratulations to those members that have qualified for the NAF 5* BE80 Championships. A reminder that the EHOA together with Shearwater Insurance Services, a long-standing partner of the Association, will award a prize to the highest placed member of the EHOA riding and /or owning a horse that completes the competition. The prize comprises a £250 cash award and a Shearwater-branded saddlecloth. The presentation of the EHOA Members Award will take place in or close to the EHOA marquee after the NAF awards presentation in the main arena scheduled to take place at approximately 15:30 on Thursday has finished.
As always results can be found on www.eventingscores.com and on www.britisheventign.com along with Bramham’s own website www.bramham-horse.co.uk
Looking forward to seeing many of you over the coming days.
