With just a few weeks before Burghley gets underway it is an opportune moment to inform you about the refreshed arrangements we have made for EHOA Hospitality. The Association celebrates its 25th anniversary this year so there was no better time to plan a revamp of the hospitality arrangements and to organise a drinks party to celebrate the Association, the sport and the fun we have enjoyed together over these years.
Our sincere thanks go to Burghley for again allowing us to erect the Association’s hospitality marquee on the corner of the House Arena. Our traditional and central location facilitates our enjoyment of every aspect of the Defender Burghley CCI5* and also the LeMieux Pony Club Team jumping on Thursday, the finals of the Dubarry Burghley Young Event Horse Competition on Friday and the BSPS Gold Cup Sports Pony Competition on Sunday.
For 2023 a new look marquee has been arranged for the site with the usual facilities including newspapers, wifi, posh loos and multiple screens to ensure you will have good viewing of every phase of the competition. Thank you also to Brompton Private Wealth, Elite Sportshorse Acquisitions (ESA), Shearwater Insurance Services, Taylor Woodcock Kingston and Weatherbys for enabling us to erect such a fine hospitality base at Burghley and similar facilities throughout the season at other events.

Tickets are priced at £25 and should be booked in advance. Simply send an e-mail with the names of attendees to: theehoa@gmail.com Please do reserve tickets for yourself, friends and family to assist us with catering planning and provision.
Hospitality Arrangements
Catering throughout the weekend will for the first time be provided by Emma Culley and her team from Village Loaf, an established company with excellent testimonials that is known for using local, fresh ingredients in its home-made offerings. We have enjoyed reviewing the menus that will be on offer to members. Sweet and savoury breakfast pastries will be followed by a salad lunch service and then cakes and other delicacies will round off each day. Nespresso coffee, fine teas, soft and alcoholic beverages will also be on sale throughout the event.
It is important to note that Emma has generously agreed to provide the catering service without a guarantee of a set minimum amount of sales. However, we must ensure that she makes the expected return on her investment of many days in preparing for and attending the event. Please use these services whenever possible throughout the weekend as we certainly don’t want to lose the capacity to serve meals at Burghley. We will send out sample menus for your information in a separate e-mail and invite you to let us know if you are likely to take lunch in the marquee, so that we can assist Emma to plan. It isn’t necessary to book but for larger groups we will endeavour to reserve seating and therefore need some advance notice.
CCI5* Course Walk
Mark Corbett, EHOA Director, rider and coach has kindly offered to host a course walk at a date and time yet to be finalised. Please let us know by email or on your arrival at Burghley if you wish to be included when further information is circulated.
