MARS Badminton Horse Trials – round up day 2

Good Morning from Badminton,

Round up from day 2 – yesterday saw the culmination of the Voltaire Design Grassroots Championships – congratulations to all competitors.

Results of the top 3 EHOA members in the Championship sections were:

BE 100

  • 1st – Cloverdor ridden by Claire McCann
  • 2nd – Smiths Bridge Gent ridden by Catherine Parker
  • 3rd – Ballylenland ridden by Kelsey Love

BE 90

  • 1st Lily Potter ridden by Tinks Walker
  • 2nd Avoca Lunason ridden by Lorna Mckechnie
  • 3rd G Damascus ridden by Joanne Monkman

Thank you to Lycetts and the team behind the Cross Country App for their generous prizes – we will post some pictures on our social media pages in the coming days.

Moving forwards to the 5* competition, dressage is under way, hospitality is up and running. It is located alongside the collecting ring.

At lunch time today we have the BE Volunteer awards presentations starting at 1pm and then in the lunch break on Friday, Mark Lucey will do a presentation about the way the measure the ground conditions. Mark Corbett is also walking the 5* course with anyone that would like to join him, please come and meet in the hospitality marquee.
