We are still looking for some volunteers to help man the EHOA hospitality marquee over the four days. It is situated over looking the main arena so you will not miss a second of the action. Today sees the start of the Saracen Feeds Houghton International. For those that need the post code it is: PE31 6UE. The event is well signed from Kings Lynn but please note of the one way entry system on arrival. All registered owners of competing horses will gain entry via their BE Membership card.
As usual the EHOA are hosting the ‘Owner Rest’ marquee which has been provided by Musketeer Events and Tor Rickcord will be onsite from early Friday. The marquee will be open on Thursday for tea/coffee, biscuits/cake, newspapers and some friendly banter! Do pop in and say hello. It is located on the edge of the main arenas you won’t miss any action.
There is a welcome party on tonight, a complimentary Hog Roast and Bar hosted by Saracen Horse Feeds, all are welcome. There will be a drinks party in the evening of Thursday 23rd hosted by the Marquess of Cholmondeley, held on the west lawn of Houghton Hall. Invitations are in the riders pack so please do ask your rider for it!

We are delighted to announce the date of the Annual Dinner and Awards Evening. This year it will be held on Thursday November 14th, at Ascot Racecourse. We have upgraded to the Pavillion Room Suite to enable us to grow the event and save disappointing those who were unable to get a space last year.
We are thrilled that Taylor Woodcock Kingston, a sporting family office, are generously sponsoring the evening.

Finally, Cathy and the Board would like to thank you for your messages of well-wishing for her up-coming retirement. In just the last 24 hours many of you have sent wonderful words of thanks, we echo your sentiments.
It is with some sadness that we wanted to let you know that our Chairman Cathy Butler will be retiring at the end of June this year. Cathy as served as EHOA Chairman for nearly 7 years and during this time has worked tirelessly to improve our sport for Owners. Much of her work goes unnoticed as she coordinates with all areas of the sport but the effects are experienced by all our members and many more. We have been fortunate to have someone as committed as Cathy and we would like to thank her and wish her all the very best for her future endeavours.
Cathy has done a great job empowering us as the EHOA Board and we are all excited to continue our work for owners. The Board’s roles are on our website (ehoa.org/board), if you have any questions or suggestions please don’t hesitate to reach out to the relevant Board Member.
The 2019 season has started with great excitement in the sport of eventing. We would like to thank all of you who have join us at events and we hope to see you again soon.

The Dobson & Horrell Chatsworth International started this morning and there are Owners faculties on offer all weeeknd for members. The marquee is being hosted by Tor Rickcord so please do pop in and see her. Tea/coffee, newspapers and home made food on offer.

Today sees the start of the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials and the EHOA hospitality team look forward to welcoming you into the marquee during the week. The tent is located by the collecting ring the the north of the main arena.
The marquee will open at 9am every day except Saturday where it will open at 8:30am. As always well behaved dogs are welcome, water in plentiful supply! If space allows guests are welcome but will be charged!
On Saturday morning before the start of cross country will see the ZIP Travel draw for a lucky individual to win a £1000 travel grant with ZIP Travel. Make sure you’re in the tent to see if you are the lucky winner. The winner will be notified within the next couple of days if not present.

Mitsubishi Motors Cup 2019
It was a great competition today at the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials today for the BE100 and 90 competitors.
EHOA members covered themselves in glory today. Emma Sutton riding Coltstown Glider finished 3rd in the BE 90 class and took the prize for the highest placed EHOA member.
Esther Anderson riding Jim’s Patch was the 2nd highest placed EHOA member in 11th place whilst Isabell Stagg riding Quite a Compliment was 13th and 3rd EHOA member.
In the BE 100 class Jo Hales riding Dawn Chorus was 2nd and the highest EHOA member. Katie Thomas was 8th and Florrie Dyer riding Bernhard III was 13th meaning they finished 2nd and 3rd EHOA members respectively
Shearwater Insurance have kindly sponsored prizes for the EHOA members class since the inception of the class and MD Jeremey Lawton was on hand to present the prizes. The lucky riders were presented with Shearwater Insurance jackets and fabulous rosettes.
