The AGM

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Company will be held at 5pm on 29th September, 2021 via Microsoft Teams.

Agenda

1 To receive the accounts for the period ending 31 December 2020 – Jonathan Clarke, the Treasurer. A copy of these accounts is enclosed with this notice.

2 To consider, and if thought fit, pass the following ordinary resolutions:

1. To re-appoint Adrian Taylor, being recommended by the Board and retiring by rotation as set out in the Articles.

2. To re-appoint Carole Turner, being recommended by the Board and retiring by rotation as set out in the Articles.

3. To re-appoint Mark Corbet, being recommended by the Board and retiring by rotation as set out in the Articles.

4. To re-appoint Rebecca Elvins, being recommended by the Board and retiring by rotation as set out in the Articles.

5. To re-appoint Victoria Ricord, being recommended by the Board and retiring by rotation as set out in the Articles.

Voting and Proxies

Every member, including each person who has subscribed as one of Joint Owners, has one vote at the Annual General Meeting. A member not attending the meeting may appoint a proxy to attend in their place and to vote on a poll but not a show of hands. A proxy from is attached to this Notice and should be emailed to jonathan@logmoreplace.co.uk or posted to Jonathan Clarke, Logmore Place, Logmore Lane, Westcott, Surrey, RH4 3JN.

Treasurer of the EHOA Vacancy

The EHOA Board needs to appoint a new Treasurer to take over from Jonathan Clarke, who is retiring this year. This is not a particularly time consuming role and a background in accountancy / finance would be ideal.
The Treasurer oversees the accounting, approves/makes payments, prepares simple annual budgets, and reports on financial matters to the Board at the quarterly Board meetings. The book-keeping and accounts review responsibilities of the Association could be delegated to an accountancy firm although that would be a decision for the new Treasurer.  The Treasurer is also the Company Secretary and is responsible for Companies House filings and the administration of the AGM.
There is a budget to cover this cost.

Team Gauntlett

Our thoughts are with Nick Gauntlett and his team after the terrible accident yesterday on the way to Blair.  Nick is huge supporter of the EHOA and many members have enjoyed his grassroots course walks.

‘Wellington International Horse Trials is proud to host an exclusive EHOA member lunch in our hospitality marquee adjacent to the main showjumping arena.  The lunch celebrates owners key involvement in this wonderful affiliated sport & most notably, the recent successes of EHOA member horses in Tokyo’s Olympics. Lunch will be two courses of mains & dessert with a complimentary glass of wine & tea/coffee.’
