Voltaire Designs Grassroots Championships

Yesterday saw the start of the Voltaire Designs Grassroots Championships (VDGR) at Badminton – delighted to say that we we have an EHOA member leading the BE100 Championships after two thirds of the field have done their dressage – congratulations to longtime member Jane Rogers. Jane and her horse Corrieview Merlin Magic have previously campaigned the Championships – hoping for them that they can remain in pole position until the end of the day. Other members in the top 10 are: Zoe Sollis, Bronia Hill and Catherine Parker. Lets see who else joins them once the dressage phase has finished.

Moving to the BE90 Championships and this is lead by Joanne Monkman – another longtime EHOA member – well done Joanne. Joanne holds a 1.3 penalty lead with another 42 competitors due to start this morning.

The VDGR concludes today with prize giving in front of the main house at Badminton after the 5* trot up. Do come along and support our members – there are 35 competing between the two Championships. You can follow all the action on eventingscores.co.uk All members that complete will receive an EHOA rosette and the top three in both sections will receive prizes from Tim Slinger of Lycetts and EHOA board member Miranda Heynes.

More details on hospitality will come this evening but the marquee will be open for all to come and enjoy at 09:00 Thursday morning.
