Cirencester Event Specifics:

Please enter the park via Two Mile Lodge off the A419 Stroud Road and follow directional signage.

Entrance Policy: There is no limit on owners! Registered owners of horse(s) competing will be able to gain entry to the horse trials using the QR code provided with their British Eventing membership. For owners registered with an overseas federation, please email

BE Members: Full BE members will be able to gain access FoC using their BE QR code

Opening Times: Gates will open daily at 8am and remain open until the end of competition each day (usually around 18:00).

All-Terrain Vehicles/Motorcycles will not be permitted.

Dogs – Must be kept on leads at all times and cleaned up after.

EHOA hospitality on offer – situated on the edge of the show jumping arena. (in need of a helper on Sunday – any offers?!)

An Eventful Life will also be filming so make use of your member discount should you wish to purchase a video.

EHOA Discount provider Shaws Iberian will also be in attendance – pop along and show your membership card to get your discount!

Just a heads up that Kentucky 5* is also running this weekend in America. With a number of EHOA owned horses having made the trip, we are including the details how you can follow the event.

Eventing this weekend –

Two BE events running this weekend. Kelsall Hill started this afternoon with dressage ahead of an action packed three days and then Calmsden starts on Saturday

Kelsall Hill – Kelsall Hill EC, Organsdale Farm, Kelsall, Middlewich Road, Cheshire, CW6 0SR

Calmsden – Ampney Down Farm, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, GL7 5EU

Event Specifics:

Kelsall Hill

  • Entrance Policy – All competitors must have their bib numbers on display as they enter the event. Entry is charged at £10 per car or £5 per person. Your BE membership card this will allow the member free access
  • Parking – For Health and Safety reasons lorries and cars will not be allowed to park together. There will be a designated parking area for lorries and a separate designated car park for cars, please adhere to this request.
  • All terrain vehicles/motorcycles will not be permitted.
  • Dogs must be kept on leads at all times.
  • Hot and cold food available from trade stands located by the secretary’s office and Urchins Kitchen, the centres onsite cafe. This is located in the indoor arena next to the show jumping arena. Dogs are welcome.
  • Please make sure you email an online prize money claim form if you are a prize winner. The claim form needs to be received in the Kelsall office by 31/05/2024 or prize money will be forfeited!


  • Directions – The event is located 3 miles northeast of Cirencester on the A429; access is off this road only. A ONE WAY SYSTEM WILL BE USED. What3words: civil.poems.complies. Grid reference SP047067.
  • No ATV’s or electric bikes EXCEPT Mobility vehicles, which upon arrival please ask the parking attendant and they will show you to the designated parking.
  • Dogs on leads at all times.

  • Volunteers required for Cirencester 2, if you can assist at Cirencester next week, please do let us know. We would be very grateful.
  • Please check you have your membership card to hand for Badminton – you will require it to access the marquee throughout the week
  • A few volunteers required at Badminton for Saturday afternoon and Sunday – can you spare a couple of hours to help?

  • EHOA hospitality marquee onsite for the duration of the event, pop in and make use of what’s on offer
  • Owners – up to three pairs of registered owners of competing horses will gain entry via their e-ticket. This has been sent to the email addresses that are registered on the British Eventing database.  If you are not registered on the BE database as an Owner, or have not received yours please contact

  • Competition Numbers  ALL NATIONAL CLASSES – Competition numbers are to be printed at home are can be downloaded from  only.  Competitors MUST compete using the event branded numbers NO other numbers will be accepted.
  • INTERNATIONAL COMPETITORS  please collect your numbers from the stable manager.
  • All dogs on leads at all times
  • If you are unable to make it to Norfolk this weekend, Horse & Country TV are onsite so you will be able to follow the action from home or use the discount code from An Eventful Life to purchase the video of your horse.


  • Dressage sheets – Please leave a SAE at the secretaries, or email with your name, section, number and horse name within 2 weeks of the event.
  • DRESSAGE TESTS:  Please note that all OI’s will be using the OI116 (2016) test.

Eventing 6th & 7th April

Not one but two events running today! Huge credit to the teams behind them – we know how much work it is for you at this soggy time!

Larkhill details: Knighton Down, Amesbury, Larkhill, Wiltshire, SP4 8QT

Notes from the event:

  • Message from the organiser, please can competitors have their towing eyes uncovered and ready in case they are needed for vehicle recovery.


From the east: To approach from the east. At the junction of the A303 / A345 (Countess Services) go north on the A345 (signed Upavon/Durrington/Larkhill) for 2kms. Go straight over the Durrington roundabout taking the second exit. Proceed north for another 2 kms to a big tank crossing (marked by posts with yellow tops and black ‘C’). Turn LEFT onto the track and head west for 2.5 kms. The racecourse will be on your right.

From the west: To approach from the west. At the junction A303 /A360 go north on the A360 (signed Shrewton/Stonehenge). At the Stonehenge visitor’s centre roundabout go straight ahead, taking the second exit onto the B3086. Proceed north for about 1.5 km. At the junction turn right onto the Packway to Larkhill. Head east for about 2 km. Turn left off the Packway onto the track (signposted Larkhill Racecourse) just before entering Larkhill Garrison. Follow the track adjacent to the camp perimeter fence for about 1.5 km. The racecourse entrance will be on your left.

What3Words: ///ritual.wrist.stage is the tank crossing exit from the A345 onto the track. ///trio.bystander.heads is the entrance to the racecourse.

Satnavs: Please enter SP4 8QT, Knighton Down to get into the general area. The postcode is for the military camp, so once in the area, use the above directions.

On Salisbury Plain: Please give way to all military traffic and DO NOT CROSS ANY RED FLAGS, you should not find any on your way to the event but may if a wrong turn is taken.
