Eventing Season 2021

The team at British Eventing continue to work behind the scenes to prepare for the kick-off of the 2021 eventing season, and we are planning for resumption of sport in March. We may of course need to be flexible about the timing as guidance changes, however we anticipate at this stage that eventing could resume by mid-March.

Our Return to Sport protocols, which proved to be robust and well supported previously, will continue to be adapted and reviewed as guidance from the government is updated.

We continue to plan for sport resumption and supporting our Organisers, Officials, Volunteers, Entries Secretaries and Scorers with a schedule of online training being implemented shortly.

Membership renewal time

Happy New Year

Warm wishes for 2021 – let’s hope things return to some normality soon.

It’s that time of year again when memberships are due.  I am contacting you to let you know your membership is up for renewal and in these slightly uncertain times the Board have offered all members a 20% discount on their 2021 membership. There are various ways in which you can pay your subscription going forwards – BACS, card, cheque and direct debit (via Webcollect and GoCardless). All card payments will incur a £1.75 transaction charge. If you wish to pay by card I will be available in the evenings between 18:00 – 19:00 Mon-Weds. If you decide not to renew, please can you let me know and I will remove your details from the database.

I do hope you wish to remain part of the Association and we really value your support in these difficult times. I appreciate there is not going to be much hospitality on offer in the early part of the Season but we are working hard with event organisers and BE to have these reinstated as soon as it is permissible. The Board of the EHOA continue to lobby with BE and other stakeholders on your behalf on numerous topics. The next BE, ERA, BEOA and EHOA joint meeting is on 13th January. If you would like to raise a matter please contact the Chairman, Linda Allan on: theehoa@gmail.com

In the meantime, keep healthy and safe and I hope to see you eventing as and when we are all permitted.

With kind regards,

Alex
