Abandonment Insurance Policy

As you might or might not be aware BE are currently running a survey on the abandonment insurance policy they currently have in place. At the moment the policy pays for the refund of entry fees in the event of cancellation or abandonment of an event.  There have been many discussions surrounding it recently and BE are actively trying to find the best possible solution for everyone involved.

For everybody to have their say and contribute to the outcome we are urging EVERYONE to complete the survey. It will take a matter of minutes. The outcome WILL affect events going forwards so please do help the discussions progress.

You will find the link to the survey: www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/2Q67SV3?fbclid=IwAR3HA1uYQQkEdfNmAjU2WFY_lZaG5th5tj8dNBpGwezIA_OZN18UO1gXAaI

Many thanks for your help with this.

some excellent news over the weekend from Richard Clapham at Cornbury that their will be an Owners facility at the event from Thursday.

The marquee will be open to EHOA members, generously sponsored by Barrington Sport Horses and brilliantly located above the main arena enabling everyone to watch the elite section dressage on Thursday and then show jumping Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

There will be tea, coffee, water and biscuits through out the day and sandwiches at lunch.

They are also trying to see if they can add a screen with the livestream on it.

Hope to see you at some point during the week.

ELITE EVENTING TV REINVESTING IN THE SPORT

The Chedington Bicton Park 5* event this week (2nd – 5th September) not only plays host to the UK’s only CCI5* event since 2019, but also acts as the host event for the launch of Elite Eventing TV’s new live stream concept.

Elite Eventing TV is pleased to be sponsoring both the TV production and the €125,000 prize fund for the 5* fixture.  In addition to this, for every sale of the Chedington Bicton Park 5* Live Stream Weekend Pass, over the initial 5,000 purchases, ticket revenues flow into the new ‘Elite Eventing Fund’ that will provide investment in projects withing the wider sport of eventing.  From this Fund, Elite Eventing TV will donate £7.50 directly into the new, and limitless, ‘Elite Eventing Premium’ prize fund for the Top 10 at Bicton this week.

Created by the team behind the popular Event Rider Masters series, Elite Eventing TV offers an exciting and innovative new concept that creates a direct link between the passion of the global eventing audience, and a tangible stream of financial investment in the sport of Eventing.  For the first time globally, a direct connection is made between a global live stream audience, event sponsors and eventing athletes through the creation of the ‘Elite Eventing Premium’ prize fund.

In the simplest of terms – every time a new live stream viewer purchases a weekend pass, to watch the cross-country and show jumping action, the additional prize pot for the Top 10 5* competitors is topped up.

The Event Rider Masters broadcast output was widely regarded as the best production equestrian sport has witnessed.  Now the team have broken the mould once again with the new, dedicated, Pay Per View (PPV) live-streaming model, turning views into direct investment in the sport.

The Live and On-Demand Elite Eventing content is available to watch via a dedicated Elite Eventing channel on Horse & Country’s streaming service, H&C+.  Dressage and the first vet’s inspection remain free to view, with Weekend Passes for the cross-country, second vet’s inspection and show jumping finale still available to purchase.

Weekend Passes are available via https://horseandcountry.tv/pay-per-view/eliteeventing/

Non H&C+ members – the cost is £25 for full weekend access

H&C+ members – ensure you are logged in to receive the discounted rate of £20

H&C Gold members – free to view.
