Today sees the start of The Barefoot Retreats Houghton International Horse Trials at Houghton Hall in Norfolk. For those members who have not been before here is the postcode should you need it: Houghton Hall, Kings Lynn, Norfolk, PE31 6UE. Please follow the signs on the approach to ensure you park in the correct area.

Tor and her band of volunteers will be around all weekend to host the hospitality marque. Please do pop in and use the facilities and catch up with fellow owners. It will be open this morning with newspapers, tea/coffee and some sweet treats on offer.

Eventing scores will have all the live results so it you cannot make the trip to Norfolk you will be able to follow the action from home,

Aston le Walls – Washbrook Farm, Aston-le-Walls, Nr. Daventry, Northants, NN11 6RT started on Wednesday and runs for 4 days. Allow extra travel time as all approach routes have delays due to HS2. Please be extra courteous to all helpers they have some busy, long days ahead.

Floors Castle International – Floors Castle, Kelso, Roxburghshire, TD5 7SF

Chatsworth International – Chatsworth, Bakewell, Derbyshire, DE45 1PP – EHOA hospitality on offer to all members. The marquee can be located on the edge of the main arena, collecting ring end.

Firle Place – Firle Place, Nr Lewes, Sussex, BN8 6LP – a special message from the Organisers regarding number bibs – BE 80, 90, 100 and u18 competitors MUST print their numbers. All AFC & NQ competitors MUST collect their rider packs which will include their numbers from the event office on arrival.

Mendip Plains – Mendip Plains Equestrian Centre, Chewton Field Farm, Ston Easton, Bath, Somerset BA3 4BX – new affiliated event for 2022

Llanymynech – Lower House Farm, Llanymynech, Nr Oswestry, Shropshire, SY22 6LG – message from Organisers please don’t forget to print your number and complete your health declarations online.

For those members heading to Rockingham International, the deadline for Owners car passes is May 16^th. Owner Passes will ONLY be available in advance and must be applied for by 5pm on Monday 16th May by emailing horsetrials@rockinghamcastle.com. BE Member Cards will also allow free entry for the card holder ONLY

Tuesday saw the launch on the 4* EHOA members league – all details on EHOA website

The Event Horse Owners Association (EHOA), a strategic partner of British Eventing, is funding an exciting and dynamic new league for top level eventing on British soil. The league will reward the most competitive and consistent horses with EHOA membership, focusing on UK four-star competitions throughout the 2022 season.

What a fantastic two days of dressage at Badminton. The leader board looks very tight and lots to play for in the morning. Delighted that the top 3 horses are all owned by EHOA members.

Just to let you know that in the morning their will be breakfast rolls available to purchase in the marquee from 8:30am for just over an hour. On offer their will be bacon, egg or mushroom baps or a combination of all three! Be warned the caterers will only be able to take cash….

Some house keeping rules for cross country day:

• Hospitality opens from 8am
• Breakfast available from 8:30 am
• Cross Country starts at 11:30am

Guests will be permitted but we will charge £25 per guest and space permitting.

All members please help the Ladies on the front desk by showing your wristlet on arrival, we will be enforcing it to ensure there is enough space for everyone to enjoy the marquee.
